Unsupported Features: Asana

Here’s a breakdown of what Unito’s Asana integration can’t do yet and a few other considerations.

  • Project End Date: While this field isn’t supported, you can sync Project Start Dates.
  • Due On: This field can’t be synced with Unito.
  • Task Approval States: These are the Approve, Request Changes, and Reject states.
  • Task followers: This field isn’t supported.
  • Dependencies: These can’t be synced with Unito.
  • Date Custom Fields: These aren’t supported.
  • @mentions: Mentions in the description can’t be synced with Unito.
  • Attachments must be added to an Asana task — not the task’s description — in order to sync with Unito.
  • Edited comments:  Unito can only sync new comments, not edits to existing comments.
  • Description fields:  Text in the description can’t include a < or > value. Doing so will cause a formatting error that will prevent your task from syncing.
  • Tables: Due to an Asana bug, tables in Asana tasks can break Unito flows.
  • Mapping Asana Assignees to Text Custom Fields: This mapping isn’t supported.
  • Asana Sections and GitLab Milestones: This mapping isn’t supported.

Unito is compatible with all tiers of Asana subscriptions, including free plans! Some functionality is limited to Asana’s higher tiers, such as syncing custom fields.

  • Portfolio access: In order to sync Asana portfolios with Unito’s Asana Advanced integration, you need to have the Owner role in those portfolios.
  • Rich text: Rich text in project descriptions can’t be synced.
