How to Connect Salesforce to Unito

Authorize Unito to securely access and sync your Salesforce data in just a few simple steps.

 

Prerequisites

• A Salesforce Account: Ensure you have an active Salesforce account with the necessary permissions to authorize third-party integrations.
• Unito Account: If you haven’t already, sign up for a Unito account.

What Salesforce permissions does Unito require? Unito can only create, edit or modify the same Salesforce objects and fields as the account connected to the platform. So be sure to consider the following:

1. API Access: The user profile must be API enabled. Update this permission via Setup > Profiles > Select User > System/Admin Permissions. Note: Not all Salesforce editions support API access. See here for more information.

2. Object-Level Permissions:

3. For each standard or custom object you want to sync, the user needs these permissions:

5. Create

6. Edit

7. Delete

8. View All

9. Modify All

10. Field-Level Security:

11. To change the Owner ID field from another tool, the user must also have “Transfer Record” permissions and “Read” access to the new owner.

12. If you cannot find a field, a Salesforce Admin may have hidden it.

Steps to Connect Salesforce to Unito

1. Create a new flow and select Salesforce as one of your tools; or follow the typical steps to connect a new tool account.

2. From the connection screen, choose your Salesforce environment:

3. Production: The live version of Salesforce that end-users (i.e. employees) interact with.

4. Sandbox: Sandboxes create copies of your Salesforce org in separate environments. Use them for development, testing, and training, without compromising the data and applications in your production org.

Note: Each production and sandbox environment will exist as a separate account in your Unito dropdown.

1. Authorize Unito:

3. After logging in to your Salesforce environment, select Allow.
